AT&T has agreed to buy T-Mobile

AT&T and Deutsche Telekom has agreed to pay a small sum of $39 billion dollars to destroy the world as we know it buy-out T-Mobile. Although we now know the destruction to our networks is clear, it should still take about 12 months to go through the bureaucracy. Why is this is bad in my opinion? Because this now means we have far less competition than we already did in the states, but it also means that AT&T will have a complete monopoly of the major US carriers on GSM. Not to mention that ages of greatly priced plans and unlocked bootloader phones will likely come to an end as well.
