United We Stand, Divided We Fall
I have been telling people since qik first came out that we needed a platform that would bridge the divide of Apple and Android. Back in the day when text messaging first came about you could only text message people that were on your network. this proved to be very difficult since most people that I knew were on other networks. Fast forward a few years and picture messaging becomes available, and again you could not picture message people that were on other networks. Fast forward a few more years video calling comes into play and once again you could not video call anybody that was not on your network.
This has been a constant battle in the mobile world, why can’t anybody make a platform that is united. well today I caught wind that the newly acquired qik is now cross-platform. This now allows anybody who has a smart phone whether it’s android or iPhone, and I’m not sure this includes Blackberry as well or Palm.
As a simple is this all you have to do is download the qik application on your mobile device whether you have an iPhone or android, sign up for new accounts. And start video chatting. It is that simple.
