Acer 10.1-inch tablet pre-orderable for $450 at Best Buy

Acer’s first Honeycomb tablet, the Iconia Tab A500, is now available for pre-order for $450 at on April 14 (today), with shipments scheduled for April 24 (Easter). The tablet features a 10.1-inch multitouch screen, runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb on a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor with an integrated GeForce GPU. There’s also 16GB of flash storage, a microSD card slot for 32GB of additional storage, a five-megapixel camera on the back, and a two-megapixel camera with HD video-recording capabilities on the front. The tablet will also come in a 4G variant from AT&T later this year called the Iconia Tab A501.
The Iconia could definitely be a competitor to the iPad and Xoom, being similarly spec’d at a lower price could make this the tablet to own, for the time being at least.
