Rumours of Twitter Integration in iOS5, Android Users Say “So What?”
Like a bit of Twitter integration in your smartphone? We do too! With the latest rumours that iOS 5 will come with Twitter integration out of the box, I can’t contain my excitement enough.. Well, that might be true were I not an avid Android user.
There seems to be all but confirmation that Twitter is working on a native image uploading service, the likes of Twitpic and yfrog. This will make it simple to share images right from within an app.
Sound familiar, dear Android user? That’s right, the functionality we’ve had right from the outset is coming to our fruity friend. Well, a watered down, restricted form of it, in true Apple style.
You’ll be able to share images directly to Twitter and, we hope, other stuff like text and links too. (Though it may be a bit much to ask for) Of course, we know that with Android any application can safely plug itself into the system and have stuff shared to it, like my Twitter client of choice, Plume. I wouldn’t expect a leap as big as that though.
